Billing Specialist

Seeking a full-time Billing Specialist to join our team. This role presents an immediate opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a thriving legal environment. Hours are 9:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Duties include:

Processing and reviewing client invoices for accuracy, managing and processing e-billing, addressing client inquiries and maintaining comprehensive records.  Prepare detailed reports for clients and/or management and other duties as assigned.  The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of billing software and procedures and has excellent attention to detail.

Qualifications include:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field of study, or three to five years of billing experience with heavy emphasis on e-billing, preferably in a law firm setting
  • Strong attention to detail and a self-starter
  • Ability to manage and prioritize tasks
  • Proficiency multiple software applications, as well as Word, Microsoft Excel, etc.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

IP Specialist

Seeking full-time IP Specialist. Offers competitive salaries and excellent benefits. Duties include, but are not limited to: reviewing and e-filing prosecution documents with the USPTO, preparing client correspondence, and managing an independent workload. Must have a minimum of 2 years current patent prosecution secretarial experience. Hours are 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to problem solve and work independently
  • Strong MS Word skills with fast/accurate typing (minimum 50 wpm)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

New Applications Filing Agent

Seeking full-time entry level Patent Agent to review and sign staff-prepared USPTO filings in the New Applications Department. Hours are 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. No billable hours requirement.

Responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing and signing USPTO filings including but not limited to new applications, Information Disclosure Statements, Responses to Notice to File Missing Parts/Requirements, Notice to File Corrected Application Papers, Preliminary Amendments
  • Responding to oral Restriction and/or Election of Species Requirements
  • Responding to simple proposed Examiner’s Amendments

Qualifications include:

  • 0-2 years of experience
  • Must have a USPTO Registration Number
  • Excellent communication, writing, organization and proofreading skills
  • Strong attention to detail
