Client Services
Oliff PLC has a long history of representing a large and diverse group of domestic and international clients, including major universities and businesses, ranging from large multi-national Fortune 200 corporations to smaller privately owned companies and individual entrepreneurs. Our clients are located in the United States, Japan, the United Kingdom, Europe, China, and South Korea, as well as in many other parts of the world.
We travel worldwide several times each year to meet with our clients, and we welcome all of our clients to visit our offices at any time. We also offer customized programs to our clients all over the world. For example, our Resident Client training program allows representatives for our clients to stay with us at our offices for anywhere between 3 months and 3 years. We also offer an annual Intellectual Property Training Institute at our Virginia office during the Fall.
We have also developed a Client/Attorney Exchange Program where one of our attorneys will stay at our client’s offices to help train and educate client representatives on-site in U.S. patent law and practice. Click each tab above to learn more about these unique programs we offer.
Our services are tailored to meet the needs and style of each client. Below are some examples of how we are able to custom tailor our services for each client.
CLIENT-BASED ATTORNEY TEAMS
We assign attorneys to client teams based on each attorney’s experience and background. Client teams are managed by at least one Member.
ATTORNEY MANAGEMENT
Our attorney mentorship program ensures high quality and consistent work product throughout the firm, without adding cost.
FAST TURNAROUND TIMES
Same day response to client inquiries; all PTO communications forwarded within 7 business days if attorney comments are not required; prompt attention to client instructions.
DETAILED & PERSONALIZED CLIENT INSTRUCTIONS
Our clients each have different needs and preferences.
Examples: document encryption; level of assistance in responding to Office Actions; approach for filing Information Disclosure Statements; billing requirements.
EXAMINER INTERVIEWS
Our focus on personal interviews results in a higher rate of issuance of broad patents, and reduces overall prosecution time and costs. Our location, just ten minutes from the USPTO, enables our attorneys to interview cases efficiently and without significant additional cost.
