Christopher J. Korff is Of Counsel at the firm and focuses his practice primarily on patent prosecution on a wide range of technologies, including materials science and chemical matters such as: glass frits, flat glass, vacuum insulated glass, ceramic materials, inorganic pigments, electronic packaging materials, glass decoration, conductive pastes, chemical-mechanical polishing compositions, polyorganosiloxanes, plasticizers, thermoplastics, solar cells, electrolytic solutions, secondary batteries, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and related processing conditions.
Chris has more than 20 years of experience working with clients in all phases of patent development, with particular emphasis on preparation and prosecution of patent applications; client counseling in patent portfolio development and management; legal opinions involving patentability, validity, and infringement; prior art searching and evaluations; and intellectual property due diligence for mergers and acquisitions.
Before practicing as a lawyer, Chris was employed in the chemical industry as a process analytical chemist with Cargill, Incorporated. Prior to attending law school, Chris served in the U.S. Army for five years in military intelligence and was stationed in California and Germany.
