Darle Short is Senior Counsel and has been with the firm since 1996. Darle has extensive litigation experience and has served as lead counsel, guiding teams of attorneys, paralegals, IT personnel and other support staff, in numerous patent and trademark infringement law suits in various U.S. district courts (including jury and bench trials), in appeals to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, in arbitration proceedings (including an evidentiary hearing before a panel of three retired federal judges), and in inter partes review proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board.

Darle has also handled various reexamination matters, manages the patent, trademark and copyright portfolios of various firm clients (including licensing portfolios), has authored hundreds of infringement, validity and clearance opinions, and prosecutes patent and trademark applications.
