Patrick de la Pena is an associate at the firm and focuses his practice on patent prosecution, primarily in mechanical and electrical technologies.  While in law school, Patrick gained experience at another IP law firm as a summer associate and as an extern for the United States Patent and Trademark Office where he wrote office actions in the business methods art unit.

Prior to law school, Patrick worked as an engineer at a German automotive manufacturing company for nearly a decade.  Patrick's work as an engineer focused on a broad range of automotive manufacturing technologies that were delivered to multiple original equipment automotive manufacturing companies, including diesel exhaust treatment, diesel fuel delivery systems, and gasoline fuel delivery systems.
